My heart slowed a little bit when I saw this post from Art Blog. This is a tombstone at Mt Macedon Cemetery in Victoria, Australia. When her husband dies, she commissioned this sculpture of herself to express her love for him... { sigh } Although sad, its so beautiful... and { romantic }!

Spring...

Today I woke up and the birds were chirping... a sure sign that spring is closer than it is far. I am looking forward to that smell, of dirt and grass and warmth. Its strange to think you can smell warmth, but I am %100 certain, I have smelled it! 

There is an evolution that takes place this time of year, it used to be that school was winding down and we could stay out 'til dark on the swing set. Now, to me Spring means relaxation. It means longer days and warmer nights. It means fresh air, out door jogs and boat rides. Spring is a rebirth for my soul and I am waiting in baited breath for its arrival! Just Can't wait!

It's no secret, Dr Seuss lives on in a sunny place in my heart. I keep him where I store my thoughts of daisies and goldfish ; stupid jokes and silly songs. His words and artwork have been a big part of my evolution as a person and an artist. Happy Birthday Theodore! Wouldn't I love to sit and have lunch with you... Green eggs and ham would do!

Giving myself the weekend off to get some writing done... Its been a long sprint to get a lot of projects done, as they begin to wind down, I find myself allowing time for my goals that got put on the side burner... like my book. So the weekend will be just "Sam" and I as I type away...

I finally caught my breath today. 

I couldn't find it yesterday. 

It came to me so delicately 

I hadn't noticed it returned to me.

A peek into a past life... in a land far far away, there once lived me...Many years have passed since this was written and since, my heart has grown many many times happier { thanks D } But I uncovered this in the archive of my Mac today... and thought...maybe I would share with you... the part of me that loves to rhyme... and the heart in me... that realizes how WONDERFUL it is to learn that broken hearts... I grew up with the thought that wall paper was no good, too much trouble and paint was just fresher and more natural looking... but something about me is { LOVING } that pink wall paper by Neisha Crosland wallpaper, I found on This is Glamorous. And that striped chair and checkered floor... I am pretty sure I saw them in a dream some where once...! { So Lovely }

All of this cold weather is making me miss the sun. I am recalling my trip to Barbados, when we arrived to find that BOTH of our cameras had broken...{ damn }... we spent a good $40 dollars on a disposable one from 1978 and when our film got developed, it came out like this... I was pretty bummed about not having a camera to catch all the beauty of the trip but now that I am looking at it, this picture turned out kind of cool...

Trouble Sleeping

More adventures from Terra. Well, Im not sure if you could consider these..."adventures"... I like to think of them as "Creative happenings".
