TYPOGRAPHY FRIDAY: Oh Dier Living
Wow {!} I can't believe it is Friday already. Doesn't it seem like the older you get the
more time speeds up? Anyway, Happy Typography Friday! Today I am featuring the
Etsy Shop of Oh Dier Living. Because, I have been doting on their wooden signage for
months now, and its about time I share the love.
I really like the idea of words on a wall.
And Oh Dier Living has gotten really creative by adding some punchy (sometimes
snarky) phrases to their collection and I really love it! They even have a custom listing
where you can have your name or favorite curse word ;) created to hang. FUN!
Happy Friday Everyone! xox

TYPOGRAPHY FRIDAY: Lee Jung
Hey its Friday! Annnnddd its also Typography Friday here. Today's feature is South
Colossal. Have you ever seen 'Say Anything' - that old school John Cusack movie where
he holds the boom box over his head outside the girls window? In the middle of the night!
And you just melt...
Well, these letters remind me of that moment. Its like there has been some kind of
massive build up, you are all alone and then you turn around and there are those glowing
letters staring you in the face. Reassuring you, privately, 'til the end of time'.
I just love these.
TYPOGRAPHY FRIDAY: Cement and Love
Because gray Cement needs love too...
Imagine the person who wrote this. They could have written anything...
They could have just written, 'I love you'. But clearly that was not enough.
Have you ever felt like you just had to write EXACTLY what you were
thinking? Because anything less would be a lie. I just love this.
TYPOGRAPHY FRIDAY: Type City
Well, If this isn't awesome, I am not sure what is. Artist Hong Seon Jang uses pieces
of movable type from a printing press to create a detailed and elaborate city scape,
aptly entitled, Type City.

TYPOGRAPHY FRIDAY
I love this neon sign. My source does not reference where it came from, but I want it.
And that little diamond at the bottom, subtle and perfecto.
xox
Want it.
TYPOGRAPHY FRIDAY: Tattoo Typography
I have always wanted a tattoo with something fiercely moving written in beautify script.
But a tattoo is forever and I knew there weren't any words that could be that fierce forever,
so I never got one. But I think these tattoos are beautiful and I love their design and
placement. What about you? Do you have a tattoo? What would yours say?
TYPOGRAPHY Friday: Gem Goode
Sending along some more type love for your Friday. I love the length these design
have from Gem Goode at Deviant Art. Creating Type Art that is easy to read is a
difficult task but I think the balance between flourishes and fancy typography here balance
well and my eye flows across the page. I love that the entire design in both uses only one
color. And once again, Great Quotes!
Tuesday
Dana Tanamachi, Chalkboard Designs {wowey}
Dana Tanamachi is a Dreamboat. Check out these chalk designs. Wouldn't it be so
fantastic to have a giant chalkboard at your wedding with that bottom right design.
{actually any design would work wouldn't it} If you head to her website she has
some time-lapse video that shows her process. It feels like you are watching a secret.
Its pretty cool.
Wednesday
Embroidered Typography
I am a sucker for amazing typography. And Maricor Maricar has pretty much
blown me away with these jaw dropping embroidered typographic wonders.
Look at the detail and precision. And the donut! Oh I love the donut! :) I have
never heard the quote "Be Excellent to Each Other" But I am very sure that
I full heartedly agree.
Tuesday
Nike, Just Does it
Nike does Just Do It Right don't they? Isn't that amazing wood
typography up there?
There is just something about typography that
I adore and when it sis done right and used creatively I kind of drool
over it. {It might have been those hours spent forced to identify each
font's individual curl in college} But what ever the cause, BRAVO
designers on board at Nike. I dig.
Wednesday
A. B. C Bird Houses
I just found these typographic birdhouses over at HOW's Blog.
AND I love them. Love. Not just like.
What would you spell with Bird Houses?
Punny Farmers Market Poster...love this

Well, I LOVE this Poster Supporting Farmers Markets
Specifically because it is so Corny... get it... anyone?

Friday
An Important Reminder
I have been feeling a little out of sorts lately.
Do you ever get that way?
It kind of feels like
I have forgotten my plan?
Not my plan for dinner or my career path.
No. No.
I know exactly where I want my career to go
and what I want to eat {currently wishing
for a giant peach and big ole mug of coffee}...
but I find myself forgetting
who I was supposed to be along the way.
Sometimes I feel like this world has us so
wrapped up in an idea of success and the financial
obstacles to surmount to get us there
that us 20 somethings {and heck even the 30-100
somethings} are so bogged down with "going out
there and getting em' " That we lose the spirit of the
uniqueness each of us have and hardly know.
And we project so far into the future
we have absolutely no time to sit a fascinate over
the fabulousness of whats going on right here
in front of our noses and inside of our heads.
So this little post is a reminder to
myself and to all of you if you are listening,
you
are damn cool.
and I mean DAMN COOL.
Tap into it...
and dig a little deeper EVERYDAY.
Thursday
Well, its time to get the heck outta here
Well, It's a four day work week for me {hooray, YIPPEE, hot dog, damn right, yee-haw} I am heading to the eastern shore in the morning for some fun in the sun and some good family time...and...
While I am away I hope you all find yourselves away somewhere lovely too. Be good to yourselves, remember what this holiday was created for and...

Cheers and love to you my readers...
