All you need to know about Graffiti...

Busy day here...{makes me feel like one of
those cartoon characters with the spazzy hair}

Wanted to share this super rad graffiti book I
found over at Graphic Exchange before I lost
myself in work again for the day...

See you all tomorrow, Cheers.

Boy or Girl in Seven Weeks...

Boy or Girl?
So I just heard about this blood test that you can
take as early as 7 weeks pregnant to learn whether
you are having a boy or a girl...wow.
They are no bigger than a blueberry at that age.
I feel like we just leapt into the future. zing.

I think I like surprises way too much to find out...
but I guess I'll never really know until I am
faced with having to make the decision one day.
Who knows where technology will be by than!

So what are your thoughts?
Would you or Wouldn't you.

My Birthday Quilt...xox

I am so happy that I finally have the
time to post about my beautiful quilt!

For my birthday Dave's mom made me a quilt!
{Oh my melted heart!} SO here is how it started...
I posted about 'The Perfect Picnic Quilt' in January
{you can follow the link here to check it out}
After she saw the post she headed straight to work.
She is such a sneaky seamstress! She found
the same pattern, picked similarly colored fabrics
and created the most perfect, amazing, you've-
never-seen-a-more-beautiful-quilt, quilt.

Look at the detail, you may not be able to see it,
but there is hand stitching all over it, swirls and
butterflies... Gosh. It kind of left me speechless.
Thank you Mrs P. {And Mr P. the supervision
was an important contribution as well :)}.

It will be saved forever...and beyond!

WICKED

Sunday Night I went with my mom and sister to see
Wicked at the Kennedy Center. Oh my Goodness
what a show! First of all the Costumes! Wow! Can
you see from the photos I pulled from google image?

Look at the bottom one, where they are in emerald
city. Each and every costume was so elaborate and
ornate. It was so Dr Seuss, I was so in Love

And the songs were out of this world. My sister
bought the sound track and I think Ill try to grab
a few from her, specifically 'Defying Gravity'.

I also really enjoyed seeing how they meshed the story
of Oz and Dorothy with the play.

We had such a great night that we didn't even
mind getting terribly lost on our way out of
Washington, DC at Midnight that night.

Oh, and we at green Pistachio Cheesecake
at desert which was delish!

Too Many Choices?

I recently viewed Barry Schwartz speak on TED
about the Paradox of Choice. It kind of blew
my mind. He made the point that we have so
many choices now that it virtually paralyzes us.

Consider this...
You are at the grocery store and you
have over 150 salad dressings to choose from. You
hem and haw over which one to choose and finally
commit. You go home with one, try it and you don't like it.
Damn
Well, you only have yourself to blame because you
are the one who decided which dressing would be the
best from all the other choices.

But, had there only been one salad dressing choice,
you would have no other option but to pick it up, and
try it. If you didn't like it, the fault would lie
with the salad dressing maker and not with-in
your decision making skills. A relief.

Barry Schwartz's point is that choice has not made us
freer. No, in fact it has done just the opposite, today people
are walking around more dissatisfied than ever...

Kind of interesting isn't it?

Summer Scarves from Turkey... xox

Summer Scarves are one of those items I LOVE but
often forget about because in Maryland it is often too hot
to wear them. So, when I found these beautiful Turkish Scarves
at SENNUR I was reminded of just how much I love them.
I mean just look at them! They look so light and delightful.

Well...
I love them so much, I bought the red one (eee! so excited!)
I think it will be really cute in the fall as well.
Dave and I have a few fall weddings coming up and
it may find its way into the wedding circuit.

Hows the weather where you live?
Can you wear scarves year round?

I'll eat you up...

Oh my heart just melts.

Tuesday

Do you care for a Pillow?

Have you ever noticed how having the right
pillow is like having the perfect necklace?
Aren't these pillows by Lone Chimney beautiful?
They would match our life great:
Out with the red, in with the adorable
 Lone Chimney Collection.

Friday

Happy Friday My Friends...

Happy Friday Everyone. Yes!

We made it through the week!

What are you up to this weekend? Dave and I
have such a busy weekend that we had to take
Monday too. :) We are getting together with a bunch
of friends on Saturday for the 2nd Annual Poker
Run {!} which was so much fun last year...
lots of boating and floating.
Than its off to a bridal shower and bachelorette
party for me later that night. {WhooWoo}

And on Sunday we are off to spend some time
with Dave's Parents to go on a tubing adventure
for some more floating, what a fun weekend!

What are you up to this weekend any adventures?

Vintage Sunnies. Be still my heart

I don't know about you guys but I have
a serious problem with loosing sunglasses.
So, it is rare to see me walking around in a pair
of expensive shades. For this same reason,
it is important that I not get too attached to my
sunnies.

Because the inevitable day will surely
come that they will be misplaced, smashed or
sent flying into the sea and if my love for them
exceeds a casual 'tip of the hat' than that fateful
day I've grown to count on, would be too much
to bare. So I keep my sunnies mediocre
at best... you know the kind my friends.
Until today.

Feast your Eyes on these Beautiful
Vintage Shades from What the Funk!

They have one thing on my side they are TOTALLY
affordable. However, I have already fallen madly
in love with them. And this love
affair is bound to have a tragic ending.
Sigh.

Thursday

Photography has my heart racing today...

original image via
Great News!
I finally broke down and got myself a Digital SLR Camera.
And Oh how good it feels.
I have been inspired by my new camera eyes.
And I am enjoying photography everywhere.

Here are a few black and whites from
around the web that caught my eye:

The excitement is pouring out of me, I could just DANCE.

Don't you LOVE the linear aspect of these?
How romantic.

{Cheers My Lovely Readers}
Have a romantic day.

My Birthday Adventure

So! Sunday was My Birthday and lets be real... I am a Birthday DIVA.

Poor Dave has some majorly big shoes to fill every year
{and they are his own, because every year he gives me
such a great day.} This year he woke me up with a love note! xox
Which is always my favorite part of any holiday I share with Dave.

Than we headed to destination unknown.
On the way he presented me with Envelope #1
inside was the menu to our first destination:
One of my favorite spots to eat downtown,
Miss Shirley's Cafe. Yumm.
We dinned until we could no longer feel our toes.
No, Really. I was sitting cross legged in the booth and my foot went numb.

This is the dapper looking gentlemen I got to sit
across from the whole morning, lucky me!

After breakfast we walked around Baltimore a little bit
and enjoyed the beautiful smoldering hot morning
{for those of you who don't know, the weather in MD
was about 110 this weekend, it was delightful...er...}
Well...holding hands was nice...

Somewhere after the crosswalk he presented me with Destination #2
which was the National Aquarium. I have been dying to go for some time
now and was so excited to spend the day milling around checking out
all of the strange wildlife. Although I was disappointed
not to have found the sloth in the rainforest. The eels were pretty amazing.
PS. We thought it was funny that in Bold Print in the
Middle of this Ticket it says
'DOLPHIN SHOW NOT INCLUDED'
It made Dave feel like he should have bought the show...
But we saw the 4D Experience Instead and it was Really awesome.
I screamed OUT LOUD when the Shark came to eat the seal
because something comes and grabs your back, it was so ridiculously silly!
I laughed forever, and I am pretty sure
Dave thinks I am the biggest wimp now.
So I found this Shark picture and retaliated.
The Aquarium is was so cool.
We were all smiles when we left and headed for lunch.
Than we headed to Vaccaros and ate more food, yes, yum!
And managed to confuse our server Big Time. I think her eyes crossed. ha.
And took this ridiculous photo that I actually Really Love for some reason.

Chocolate Chip Gelato. xox
Than we headed to my parents house which has
been a favorite tradition of mine forever and dined on...
YES another meal. My mom is a great cook and made a
delicious stir fry. We were even joined by one of my
Best's, Alicia and little Cricket came for some fun too.
I had a ridiculously great day. Thank you EVERYONE
for your Birthday Wishes I felt Hugged all day long!
