Bridal Stationary: Illustrated Bouquet

I just recently finished a really fun project.
I illustrated a bridal bouquet,  and then designed bridal stationary with the bride's
new name. What a great wedding gift idea!

Tuesday

Our Wedding, the Highlight Reel

Well, if you have been following along... Dave and I got married a month ago (today!).
And let me just say, honestly... it was the best day of my life. Seriously. My heart was
bursting with happiness, and I was swallowed up by my most sincere emotions. It was
wonderful. And we were lucky enough to have a very talented and super creative
photographer along side us to capture the day. Thank you to everyone who came to
celebrate with us. The love and support you have given us is felt all the way to our
souls. Thank you from the bottom of our heart, all the way back up to the tops. xox

***All Photographs taken by Taylor McCutchan Photography.***
Taylor is a California based photographer, that traveled to us, worked with our budget
and provided buckets of mind blowing photos. His creativity and talent shone through
every photo he sent us and had me "Wowing" out loud through the whole slide show.
For any event, Call him, Text him, Email him... You will LOVE him.

Monday

The count-down begins

Twelve more days until I marry my best friend! It is consuming my thoughts. I can't stop
thinking about it.  How will it feel? What will the kiss be like? Will Dave be nervous?
What will our dance be like? Will I be nervous? Will I cry happy tears all night? What
will the weather be like? Will people have fun? Like I said, consuming my thoughts...

Tuesday

Embroidery... {xox}

Wouldn't it be adorable to use these custom embroidered numbers from Merriweather Council
as table numbers at your adorable wedding and than gift those cute little initial necklaces to your bridesmaids. I love the color, texture and vintage look that the embroidery adds. Oh its so clever!

Hot Chocolate Bar

For anyone having a Wedding this Fall or Winter here is a
brilliant addition. A hot chocolate bar {!} Around 8 o-clock,
the coffee bar sets up at a wedding and it is all too often Decafe.
{Me being the caffeine junkie is always looking for high test and
it seems the majority vote is 'Decafe after dinner'...Bummer.
Buuut... If I was faced with the option of decaffeinated coffee or
a super cool hot chocolate bar {easy} the Hot Chocolate bar
gets my pick. And look how adorable marshmallows are
at a wedding.

Skip the Coffee. Say yes to Hot Cocoa.
Love this idea.

Wednesday

Something Blue.

Something Blue.
I love these
Wouldn't they look amazing with a white wedding dress?

Did you have something blue on you for your wedding?

Thursday

A Veil or not a Veil?

Would you ever consider wearing a colored veil?
I wasn't 100% behind the veil idea but I did want something
to spruce up my hair.

Than I stumbled across that image up top
of the beautiful bride with the scarf in her hair... amazing.
Right?! Couldn't you imagine an outdoor wedding with a
really beautiful handpainted scarf in your hair. {Than you
can wear it again and again too!} I like the first one listed
the best. Any thoughts?

PS. You can find more beautifully hand painted scarves
at Silk Couture by Takuyo have fun!

Monday

We are getting Hitched!

Thats right! We have scraped both of our names for now and
are only referring to each other as "Fiance". {It feels weird to say and hear}

There is no one else on earth I could imagine spending the rest of my days
with than Dave. So needless to say, I am so excited and feel very lucky
to have found such a remarkable partner. Yay. I can't stop smiling.

We have been so busy and were finally able to slip away yesterday for
some time to ourselves. Even though it was cold and raining we headed out
for a hike. Turns out when you are hiking up hill it doesn't matter  if its cold,
you warm up fast. When we reached  the top we headed out to the overlook
and I took this picture:
Than I turned around to Dave saying; 'I guess we should go get this ring
sized for you" and he pulled it out and got down on one knee and asked
me to marry him... xoxooxx... I cried... and said yes (of corse)
maybe my exact words were "duh" and than we spent the
whole 6 mile hike dreaming about the next 50 years. {And we also joked
about how awkward it would have been if I said no, what a long hike
down that would have been.}

Yay!

We finished our hike at the falls... amazing!

Mike and Sal's Wedding

We had an AMAZING weekend attending the
celebration of our friends, Mike and Sal's wedding. {xox}
Here are a couple shots from their beautiful ceremony
and reception that they held at their home in, Cambridge.

I love that the groom wore a tie but the rest of the groomsmen
were more casual. (They also all wore flip flips..xo)

...see...(even the bride had gold flops on. So cute)
...they laughed together through their whole first dance.

while we laughed through dinner (delicious! gazpacho,
feta/watermelon salad, crab cakes, fresh corn and avocado salad
and pork bbq...yum)

Meant for a Moment created the table "numbers" and name cards
so it was really fun to see it come together.

And look at the sun set!

...yeah... I couldn't resist getting in the canoe.
Dave was up for it, so in we went.

I could not be happier for you Mike and Sal.
What a Beautiful Weekend! Thanks for including us.

Friday

Its Friday...

Have a great weekend my Friends.
It has been a blustery busy week here *I thank my stars* but boy
does busy make my head spin sometimes. Off to another wedding.
Love is in the air. {xox} On the Eastern Shore of Cambridge
this time. I so can not wait, what a beautiful place for our
beautiful friends to get married.

Pictures to follow!

PS. Don't you love this image? I can't figure out who to
credit for it. I found it via ffffound.com with no
proper trace back. If you know who the artist
I would love to know. This image is amazing.

Wednesday

A Southern Wedding.

As promised, here are the beautiful pictures from the wedding we went to in Charleston this weekend.
It was filled with Southern Charm. The bride was beautiful and wore creamy poofy gourgeous dress that fit her oh so perfectly... and her veil had pieces of her mothers wedding dress in it,
Jenny, that was so pretty!

Documented epic game of Croquet...

Oh that checker board dance floor. It was a little quiet on the dance floor so Dave and I went out and stirred it up a little bit... We can never resist a good Dance Party. xox
What a good looking wedding party!

She threw the bouquet after cutting a rug on the balcony... {too cute}...
No, I did not catch it.

Perfect photo opp. Could not resist.
Yes, that little spec in the top right corner is the dolphin that came in for a visit.
What a beautiful addition to the vista.
The beautiful old trees, covered in spanish moss with swings...
were an amazing way to top of the evening.

The bride and groom left the reception by boat and watched fire works that we set off the dock. Then they met everyone over at Salty Mike's Dock Bar for some more late night celebrating!

Congratulations Chris and Jenny, You will be amazing.
Love from both of us!
